FINDING THE IDEAL PERSON

One's choice of a mate in marriage or in a key relationship would do more to determine their overall success and happiness than perhaps any other factor. And we should not forget relationships are one of the important avenues of channeling one to a destined position. You probably know lots of people who have worked hard for years to achieve material success in the work world, and it all fall to pieces when the critical relationships with their spouses and children disintegrate for lack of time and attention. One way for you to find your ideal mate is the same way that you achieve any worthwhile goal in life. You sit down with a pad of paper and write a vivid description of the perfect person for you. As you engage in this exercise, imagine you are putting in a request and the perfect person is going to be delivered back to you exactly by virtue of your description. Take time to write out every detail. Be sure to describe the ideal person's appearance, height, level of physical fitness and religious denomination. Describe the person's temperament, personality, sense of humor, education, intelligence and attitude. Be as precise as you can with regard to the person's values, beliefs, philosophies and opinions about the important things in life.
The more detailed your description, the more likely you will be to find the perfect person for you. Read and re-read this description everyday. Add new details and characteristics to the descriptions as you think of them. Modify and adjust the existing description so that it is more and more accurate and precise. Each time you review the description of your ideal person, you programme this deeper and deeper into your subconscious mind. When you imagine how happy you will feel when you are in a relationship with the perfect person for you, this emotional component activates your subconscious mind and triggers the Law of Attraction which states, “you are a living magnet, and you inevitably attract into your life the people, circumstance, ideal and resources in harmony with your dominant thoughts”. The Bible puts it this way, “As he thinks in his heart, so is he” (proverbs 23:7a). In no time at all, you will draw that person into your life. May the Lord empower you to fulfill your aspirations in life.

THE BLESSINGS OF A FATHER.

Fathers provide a significant role in the life of their children which often cannot be substituted. The denial of the fathers often leads to psychological disorders and deficiencies in life. A father in the scripture serves as mentor, inspirer, provider, protector and above all, prophet of the destinies of the children. They determine the blessings and the prosperity of their children.

The Greek word for Father is “Pater” which signifies a source or life Giver or a nourisher. This implies that God has strategically positioned the fathers in the life of the children as the Giver, nourisher and protector of their lives.

Therefore the success and blessings of the children are in the hands of the fathers. This explains why God describes himself as a Father, because of his contribution to the protections and blessing of his children.

In Genesis 25, Abraham as a Father mentored his son Isaac into prosperity to the extent of providing a good woman (Rebecca) for Isaac to marry. Isaac prospered greatly not because his father Abraham left him many inheritance but because his father blessed him. In the case of Jacob, his mother Rebecca loved him so much that she would have done anything that will cause Jacob to prosper, but Rebecca because of her understanding of spiritual principles knew that it was not in her power to bless Jacob but the Father. Therefore receive the blessing from the father. Again in Genesis 49, Jacob assembled all his children to predict their future.

As a father he had that prophetic ability to know the future of his children. Jacobs's children such as Reuben and Simeon could not excel because of their father's pronouncement of curse up them. In the same way Manasseh, Ephraim and Judah excel greatly because of the blessings they received from their father. Joseph for instance enjoyed great favour and blessings in the midst of all the problems he faced in life not just because his father loved him but because of the blessings he received from his father. Jacob blessed his son Joseph by making cloth of many colour to symbolize his love and blessings upon him. The blessing kept him alive to the day of the fulfillment of Joseph's destiny. The negligence and irresponsibility of some fathers does not deny their position as initiators of God's divine blessing. The word “blessing” is the release of divine grace upon an individual to prosper at all course. Blessings can also be defined as the impartation of spiritual mantle to prosper. Therefore God has spiritually positioned the fathers in his place to enunciate blessings upon their children.

HOW TO RECEIVE THE BLESSING OF THE FATHER

In the New Testament, Jesus demonstrated the need for the fathers blessing through his relationship and reference to the father.

Jesus acknowledged the fact that his success in life and ministry was related to the blessing of the father.

TOTAL VICTORY

In Psalm 126 the Scriptures depicted a great victory of Israel and God's desire to crown the effort of His people in a complete and holistic victory. A victory that restores in many portions all that they have lost in the past and enhances the beauty of their lives.

When the lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.

Then they said among the nations, “the lord has done great things for them”

The lord has done great things for us,

And we are glad

Bring back our captivity, o lord

As the streams in the south.

Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He, who continually goes forth weeping,

Bearing seed for sowing,

Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,

Bringing his sheaves with him.

This scripture is a picture of a total victory and it is my prayer that as you read this, you will experience a total victory in Jesus' Name.

We must understand that as Believers God uses difficult and impossible challenges to transform our life. Therefore as you face each challenge of life, remember there is a great door of escape which is your Total Victory. Amen!

Jesus, in his life on the earth faced great oppositions and many difficult moments but He had great confidence understanding the fact that God glorifies Himself in the midst of great testimony. Great problems results in outstanding and magnificent testimonies. Today it is your time to experience a great testimony. Amen!

In Hebrews 12:1-3, Jesus revealed how the Believer can receive his Total Victory: Through

A. Total Praise to God

Jesus revealed that Total Victory comes when the Believer walks in Total praises, this is where the Believer walks in praising God in the midst of their problem and they refuse to exalt their problem but to exalt God. Total Praises welcome God to the situation to deal with the problem and to crown you with victory.

Victory is a life of God's presence wherefore, any place God manifests His presence, the people receive victory. Paul and Silas experienced a total Victory in the prison because they exhibited the life of Victory which is praising God even in the midst of their problem.

In the book of Joshua, Joshua understood this principle when they encountered the most difficult problem of their journey, the wall of Jericho. This wall of Jericho was a huge wall that human speaking, it was impossible to break through it and therefore needs a divine intervention. Joshua led the people of Israel through a dramatic Praise to God around their problem and this brought about Israel's greatest victory. Your greatest victory is here today if you can exhibit the life of praise.

B. To expect God's Victory

According to Jesus, the greatest hindrance to Total Victory is to look on your problem since that magnifies the problem and makes you impotent and feeble. Jesus shows that to ignore our problems and to look up to God for Victory is the surety to Total Victory.

Therefore, as you praise God today in the midst of your problem, expect a Total Victory from God TODAY.

Remember, God's child, this is your season of Total Victory in every aspects of life.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM

In the scripture, God affirms His desire to ensure prosperity in all economic endeavours of all believers. He demonstrated this commitment by enriching His servants, notably among them who were: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. In Isaiah 51:2, we are told of how God called and blessed Abraham and Sarah. Abraham became richer even than the king of his land.

In the same way Isaac also experienced a tremendous financial prosperity to the extent that he was envied by the natives of the land he lived. Even though they fought him over his prosperity, his (Isaac) possessions still continued to multiply. Having been overwhelmed beyond reasonable limits by the riches of Isaac, the writer of Genesis had this to say: “And the man Isaac began to prosper and continued to prosper until he became very prosperous”.

For the want of space, readers would be spared with the details of the wealth of Jacob. Having started life with nothing, Jacob became prosperous even to the envy of his father-in-law. Although the children of Jacob (Israeli) went to the land of Egypt virtually empty handed, they left to the wilderness with great wealth!

In the stories of all these great men of God briefly discussed, we notice they all experienced divine financial affluence! God demonstrated His commitment in prospering them in spite of the prevailing environmental constraints and economic hardships. For example, Isaac thrived in the midst of drought and scarcity. In fact, a divine financial blessing defies all reasonable odds! Natural conditions such as unfriendly economic environment and low social status can never be barriers to divine prosperity. God overcame all such natural economic conditions to prosper His people.

In the book of the II King, God used Elijah to bless His people so they could experience financial freedom irrespective of the conditions they found themselves. In the New Testament, Jesus reinforced the commitment of God to see the prosperity of His people through his teachings and performance of miracles. In his teachings, Jesus dwelt mostly on financially related subjects to demonstrate his preparedness to prosper his people. Moreover, He (Jesus) performed many miracles that could be linked to ‘financial freedom’. Examples of such miracles are: the great catch by Peter and friends; the feeding of the five thousand and the coins in the fish. Jesus demonstrated his commitment to prosperity in personal life and in the life of his disciples by assuring them that they had more than enough and would never lack. Perhaps, this became the testimony of the early church that experienced financial freedom; members never lacked anything that was good (Acts 2:45-46).

Is Your Spouse Sexually Satisfied?

I recently heard about a couple in their eighties who were in counseling for sexual issues. It's a true story. He was complaining that his wife wasn't giving him the type of sex he enjoyed. After their counseling session, they left arm in arm ready for an amorous evening together.
Without sex and having fun in marriage the relationship becomes mundane and business-like. Sex is the only unique feature of marriage and is designed by God to bring pleasure and intimacy for a lifetime.
Sex is such an important part of marriage. It is something we should both work at to keep it exciting and satisfying for both of us. Without sex and having fun in marriage the relationship becomes mundane and business-like. Sex is the only unique feature of marriage and is designed by God to bring pleasure and intimacy for a lifetime.
A woman in her sixties complained that her husband had erectile dysfunction and wasn't meeting her sexual needs. When she confronted him about the problem and asked him to get medical treatment that would have easily cured the problem, his response was, "I'm O.K., I'm happy just like we are." She was devastated.
Obviously her husband was an insensitive and selfish man. I guess he thought his feelings were the only ones that were important in the marriage. I like what Dr. Phil says regarding sex. He says, "If you don't think sex is important, just ask the person who isn't getting any."
The typical scenario of sexual frustration is that of a young husband who wants more sex than his wife wants to give him. Younger women need to understand that their husbands normally need more sex than they do. Just as they want their husbands to meet their needs in a sacrificial and sensitive manner, they need to do the same for their husbands in the area of sex. Generally speaking, men have the need for sex and women have the gift of sex. They need to give that gift generously. It is essential for a good marriage.

LEADERS AND LEADERSHIP

The world and our nation today are confronted with challenges that emanates as insuperable. Bankrupt nations, moral decadence, security and defense are being eroded.

The youth, our future leaders are confused, demoralized and alienated. In the midst of these enormous challenges, our generation is encountering serious problem: leadership crises.

Not just the church that is facing poor quality leaders but the nations of our world and organizations. “Everything rises and fall on leadership” said the leadership expert John. C. Maxwell.

Becoming an influence in your generation and affecting lives is not just the issue about personality, wealth or how well you can articulate your ideas but is about quality leadership.

We can never have successful churches, nations, enterprises or companies without a quality leadership being exhibited.

As, I visit places looking for leaders to talk to I only see followers, managers, supervisors and disciplinarians. Where are the leaders, no wonder there are leadership vacuum in our world today, especially in Africa.

Who is a leader and what is leadership? A leader is someone who possessed VISION, PASSION, TRUST and INTEGRITY.

VISION is a mental picture of a future state communicated by God to you. Understand that to be a Christian leader, the vision towards which you lead others must not be a vision of your own making but a vision God gave you.

The Apostle Paul said to King Agrippa he was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. We have heard so much about vision that many people are bored with it and that is why they don’t have some.
